Any mom would love to receive this tea-cup full of roses for Mother’s Day. These garden roses have shades of apricot and are offset by the fuchsia ranunculus and softened by the Dusty Miller. The small leaf Dusty Miller used here grows in my flower bed and the neat thing about it is it will actually root in water. So, after you use it in an arrangement, and it grows roots, you can replant it in the garden, or use it for several weeks in different flower arrangements. (just change the water every 3-4 days, and clean any gunk off the stems and vase.) It’s amazingly resilient.
The tea cup used is an oversized tea cup made by Grace’s Teaware but you can make a beautiful arrangement of flowers in any tea cup.
Personalize your gift for Mom by adding a photo or a decorative herbal tea bag tied on with a ribbon.
FLORAL TIP: The stems of the ranunculus are fragile. Use the small scissor like floral shears to cut them and use a rose stem to make the hole for them in the floral foam, before inserting. Haha. It’s like pre-drilling!
FLORAL TIP: Add a packet of floral food to a cup of water before pouring the water into the floral foam.
