Why not use tulips to say “Happy Valentine’s Day”? These cheery tulips came with long stems in a double dozen. This arrangement is done in a moon shaped glass vase which is one of my favorites (purchase here). Since tulips tend to droop over naturally, you are going to accentuate this movement, by lengthening out the stems on the left side, then cutting the bottom even before you place them in the vase. This will carry the curve of the vase around with the tulips. To keep this look simple and clean you will use a ribbon the same shade as the tulip stems. This exemplifies the design motto “less is more”.

Enjoy these tulips that bring a splash of intense color and hope that spring will be on its way. So, if you have your tulips and supplies, let’s begin.
